Shanthakumaran Nair Sreesanth ( born 6 February 1983) is an Indian former cricketer and film actor who played all forms of the game.Sreesanth was born on 6 February 1983 to Nair Santhakumaran and Savithri Devi.Sreesanth initially was a leg-spinner in his childhood, modelling his action on India’s leading Test wicket-taker Anil Kumble, who was to become his Test captain. However, his habit of bowling yorkers led him to convert to fast bowling, after being encouraged by his elder brother.Sreesanth was selected for his first Test squad in the home series against England in March 2006, in place of Zaheer Khan. He claimed 4/95 in his debut appearance in the 1st Test in Nagpur, where he opened the bowling with Irfan Pathan.In September 2007, Sreesanth joined the Indian team in South Africa for the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup following his omission for the one-day series in England.Sreesanth associated with the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.On 25 March 2016, Sreesanth joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He contested and lost the Kerala Assembly elections from Thiruvananthapuram.
Sreesanth’s wife, Bhuvneshwari Kumari hails from a Rajasthan royal family, which makes her a real-life princess. She is the daughter of Hirendra Singh Shekhawat and Muktha Singh. She is a jewellery designer by profession. Bhuvneshwari Kumari has been the biggest supporter of Sreesanth. She’s been through thick and thin and has always stayed vocal when it came to her husband.

Sreesanth met his future wife for the first time in Jaipur when he was there for a cricket match. He and Shoaib Akhtar had gone to her school for an event. Bhuvneshwari was in 10th standard at that time.
Although it was love at first sight for the bowler, unfortunately, it wasn’t the same for her. Later they again got to see each other when she came down to the stadium. This is when Sreesanth waved at her, hoping to get her attention. Bhuvneshwari continued to give him the cold shoulder.
The two again met in person at a dinner party where Sreesanth dropped her a paper with his number, asking her to call him to congratulate him if he ever played well.
Her friends thought it was a prank and started pulling her leg. To prove them wrong, Bhuvneshwari called him up and they started talking. The two dated for around 6 years before finally sealing the deal.

Bhuvneshwari’s family liked him very much and didn’t want this turmoil to get in between their daughter and Sreesanth’s life. With blessings from both families, the two finally tied the knot on 12 December 2013. They had two ceremonies — one in traditional South Indian style and another in typical Rajasthani style.
