Sajid Nadiadwala (born 18 February 1966) is an Indian film producer and director, and owner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.Sajid started his career at a very young age, as a production assistant in his uncle’s production house before establishing his own production company called “Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt Ltd” at the age of 25. In 1992, he produced his first film Zulm Ki Hukumat starring Dharmendra and Govinda. He brought together action stars Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty for the first time on big screen with his next, Waqt Hamara Hai (1993).Nadiadwala started his career as an assistant director to the film producer Prakash Mehra. He made his debut as a producer with the film Jeet in 1996. Some of his notable films include the action comedies Housefull franchise, the crime thriller Murder 2 and the biographical sports drama M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.In 2019, he was honoured with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award in India, for his contributions to the Hindi film industry.
