Ajith Kumar (born 1 May 1971) is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Tamil cinema. To date, he has starred in over 60 films in Tamil.In addition to his acting, Kumar is also a motor car racer and participated in the MRF Racing series (2010).Ajith Kumar was born in Hyderabad, India. His father P. Subramaniam is a Tamilian from Palakkad, Kerala and his mother Mohini is Sindhi from Kolkata, West Bengal.Ajith dropped out of Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School during his tenth grade, before he had completed his higher secondary schooling.Ajith became a racing driver, competing in circuits around India in places such as Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi. He is one among very few Indians to race in the International arena and in Formula championships. He has also been abroad for various races, including Germany and Malaysia. He drove in the 2003 Formula Asia BMW Championships. He raced in the 2010 Formula 2 Championship along with two other Indians, Armaan Ebrahim and Parthiva Sureshwaren.
Shalini (born 20 November 1979), also known as Baby Shalini, is a former Indian child artist and actress who predominantly worked in Malayalam films and few Tamil films.Shalini was born to Babu and Alice on 20 November 1979. Her father is from Kollam.Her father migrated to Madras, with an ambition of becoming an actor and the family settled there. Later, he fulfilled his ambition through his children.She attended Fatima Mat Hr Sec School, Adarsh Vidyalaya, Chennai and Church Park Convent, Chennai. She is the middle child.

Their love affair reportedly started when Ajith accidentally cut Shalini’s hand during the shooting of an action sequence and became her caretaker for the rest of the shoot. It is said that Shalini was immensely impressed by his gesture, and that’s how the love between the two blossomed. The couple married in a grand ceremony in 2000.
