Apurva Agnihotri is an Indian actor known for his role as Armaan Suri in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.In 2013, he participated in Bigg Boss.Agnihotri debuted in the film Pardes, co-starring with Shahrukh Khan and directed by Subhash Ghai. The film was highly successful and garnered Agnihotri with the nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Zee Cine Awards.After several more film roles, he rose to prominence when he was offered the lead role in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, an Indian television serial. In 2018, he joined Bepannah as Rajveer Khanna.He then portrayed Harry Somani in ALT Balaji’s Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain for two seasons.
Shilpa Saklani is an Indian actress known for her role as Ganga Sahil Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Vidhi in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. She was a contestant on the reality show Bigg Boss 7 in 2013.Shilpa started her career with Tere Liye, a movie starring Arjun Punj in 2001 which failed at the box office. In 2002, she played a brief role in Na Tum Jaano Na Hum. She joined Ekta Kapoor’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as Ganga from 2002 until the end of the show in 2008. She was later seen in Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat and played the lead role in Lavanya.In 2005, Saklani participated in Nach Baliye 1 with Apurva. Saklani acted in shows Kkusum, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. In 2009, she participated in Imagine TV’s Pati Patni Aur Woh. In 2012, she participated in Survivor India. In 2013, along with her husband Apurva, Saklani participated in Colors TV’s Bigg Boss in its seventh season. She survived for five week until she got evicted.

Apurva Agnihotri, who started his Bollywood journey with Yash Raj productions’, Pardes, shot to fame overnight. Shilpa developed a cute little crush on this pardesi boy. Even though they both were working in the same industry, they first met through a common friend. It was Rakshanda Khan who introduced these two to each other. They first met at a coffee shop. Shilpa found Apurva quite attractive in real life too.Recalling their first meeting, Shilpa said:
I had a huge crush on Apurva since the time I first saw him in Pardes. I
thought he was hot, even when I first saw him at a coffee shop. Our mutual
friend Rakshanda played Cupid for us.

The wedding date was set to be June 24, 2004, and it took place in Dehradun as Shilpa’s grandmothers could not come to Mumbai.All the friends and relatives of the duo flew to Dehradun to witness a traditional Garhwali wedding ceremony. Shilpa wore a heavily embellished red lehenga, while Apurva opted for a designer formal suit. It was a “rocking wedding” where everything went superbly well.
